We're hiring an experienced Family Law Paralegal — Remote in BC

Senior role, mainly remote. Initial training period of up to three months at our Penticton head office, with occasional time there ongoing. Open to applicants residing anywhere in BC, with strong preference for those local to or originating from the South Okanagan. $60,000–$75,000 base + bonus structure paid out monthly. Apply by June 1st, 2026.

About the role

White & Company Family Law is hiring a senior family law paralegal to join our team. This role is mainly remote — you can be based anywhere in British Columbia, with occasional attendance required at our head office in Penticton. We have a strong preference for candidates based in the South Okanagan, but the right experienced candidate from elsewhere in BC is welcome to apply.

You'll be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information across active cases, relaying communication between clients, lawyers, and opposing counsel, and keeping each file court-ready. You’ll provide legal research, draft legal pleadings, provide strategic insight and provide clients the comfort of knowing you are there for them. You'll work directly with our lawyers on complex, often high-conflict family law matters, and play a central role in the outcomes our clients depend on.

Compensation

  • Base salary: $60,000–$75,000 per year, commensurate with experience

  • Monthly bonus structure on top of base pay

  • Mainly remote work — no daily commute

  • Occasional travel to our Penticton head office

What you'll do

  • Prepare and manage legal documents including affidavits, financial statements, pleadings, and disclosure packages

  • Manage active files end-to-end, balancing multiple cases and strict deadlines

  • Handle court filings, including e-filing systems, document formatting, and trial preparation materials

  • Conduct legal research and summarize statutes, case law, and procedural rules for lawyer review

  • Communicate with clients in high-conflict and emotionally sensitive situations with discretion and care

  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across legal documentation, financial records, and court submissions

  • Follow firm policies and procedures, and uphold the confidentiality these cases require

Essential qualifications

  • 3–5+ years' experience working in BC in Family Law as a Paralegal

  • Paralegal diploma, certificate, or degree

  • Strong working knowledge of family law procedures: divorce, parenting time and contact, child and spousal support, property division

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Resides in British Columbia

  • Valid BC driver's licence

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with legal case management software, particularly DivorceMate and Clio

  • Based in the South Okanagan (Penticton, Summerland, Naramata, Oliver, Osoyoos, Okanagan Falls, Keremeos, Kaleden) and those who would be able to come in-person in the office for team support or vacation coverage

  • Strong preference for those with in depth understanding of family violence and power dynamics in litigation
