We're hiring an experienced Family Law Paralegal — Remote in BC

COMPENSATION
We offer two compensation options, depending on experience and the successful candidate's preference:
Option 1 – Bonus Structure
Base salary of $75,000 per year, with a monthly bonus based on the previous month's receivables, after successfully completing a three-month probation period.
Option 2 – No Bonus Structure
Salary commensurate with experience (to be discussed with the successful candidate)
Additional benefits include:
- Remote work with no daily commute
- Retention bonus after 6 months, 1 year, and annually thereafter (applies to Option 2 – No Bonus Structure only)
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prepare and manage legal documents including affidavits, financial statements, pleadings, and disclosure packages
- Manage active files end-to-end, balancing multiple cases and strict deadlines
- Handle court filings, including e-filing systems, document formatting, and trial preparation materials
- Conduct legal research and summarize statutes, case law, and procedural rules for lawyer review
- Communicate with clients in high-conflict and emotionally sensitive situations with discretion and care
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across legal documentation, financial records, and court submissions
- Follow firm policies and procedures, and uphold the confidentiality these cases require
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5+ years' experience working in BC in Family Law as a Paralegal
- Paralegal diploma, certificate, or degree
- Strong working knowledge of family law procedures: divorce, parenting time and contact, child and spousal support, property division
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Resides in British Columbia
- Valid BC driver's licence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with legal case management software, particularly DivorceMate and Clio
- Based in the South Okanagan (Penticton, Summerland, Naramata, Oliver, Osoyoos, Okanagan Falls, Keremeos, Kaleden), and able to come in-person to the office for team support or vacation coverage
- Strong preference for those with an in-depth understanding of family violence and power dynamics in litigation
HIRING PROCESS
- Two rounds of video interviews
- Final candidates will be invited to an interview weekend in beautiful Penticton, with travel and accommodation costs paid for
- Interview process:
– Friday dinner with the team
– Saturday morning formal interview, with the rest of the day free to enjoy
– Sunday morning deadline for acceptance, with successful candidates formalizing their contracts over brunch
- Training consists of a two-day in-person session in Penticton, BC. All travel and accommodations paid.
